Miss Kate's Wedding Shower :-)

Okay so I'll terribly sorry I haven't posted earlier, I got sick right after the shower from having way too much fun. :-D  So. The shower was a HUGE success, and I am SO HAPPY. :-D See? Happy face -> :-D All day Friday  Bentleigh and I slaved away until about 5:00 pm when other girls started arriving. Then we slaved away even harder. :-P We chopped and sauteed and baked and cooked ourselves silly, with crazy pop music to keep us energized. We were up till 2:00 am that night! Then we headed off to bed(not until after we'd played a ridiculous prank call that flopped). Then the next morning we hurried out of bed, set everything up and partied and served food for the rest of the day. Oh, and the Menu? *giant grin* Here it is. Main Dishes: Beef Bourginon, Chicken and Mushroom Crepes, and Quiche Lorraine. Side dishes: Ratatouille, Artichoke and spinach dip, Pasta Salad with sun-dried tomatoes, (ya hungry yet? :-P) Stuffed Mushrooms, A beautiful green salad, A platter with cheese and sausage, and a crispy Potato Galette. Desserts? Petit Fours, (rather large ones, we were joking that they should be called Grande Fours. :-D) Lavendar Creme Brulee (My specialty...) and strawberries with a brown sugar sauce.  :-D OK so that's kind of a really rushed description of what happened over those two days. So we took a ton of pictures. Not many of the food unfortunately, more of the people. But that's good too. :-) Here they are!

So anyways, that's all for now. I have SO many more pictures, hundreds probably. I'll post a bunch more later. :-)

First Blog Post....

So since a certain someone has been nagging me to hurry up and post on my blog already, (*coughLIZZYcough*) here it is. I'm posting. Hope you're happy, Lizzy. :-) So. This Saturday is a wedding shower for Miss Kate, a woman I greatly admire. And GUESS WHO gets to plan the menu for the brunch  and execute it, with help? That's right, *me*. And I'm so stinking excited I could explode. :-D The general them of the menu is French food, which is my favorite to cook. Some random things from the menu are: Quiche Lorraine, Crab Salad, Chicken Crepes, Lavender Creme Brulee, Petit Fours, Spinach and Artichoke dip, and Champagne Punch, Coffee, Tea, and Fruit Punch (for the kids) to drink. :-) So I'm hoping it'll be epic. I'll take lots of pictures and hopefully post some! Anyways, that's all for now.
